Description of the mandate
For this project carried out in Laval , our team's objective was to completely renovate an outdated bathroom.
The client wanted a more modern, bright and functional space, with new materials from floor to ceiling.
The work included replacing damaged gypsum, rebuilding surfaces, installing a new bath, and completely updating the finishing elements.
Technical challenges
The bathroom had several sections of deteriorated gypsum , including the lower parts of the walls and the entire area around the bath.
The floor needed leveling , which required the application of a self-leveling compound to achieve a perfectly flat base.
The entire room needed to be completely modernized while respecting the existing plumbing configuration.
Solutions implemented
Demolition and reconstruction
Complete removal of gypsum , wall ceramics, existing cladding, vanity and bath.
Reconstruction of the walls with new gypsum perfectly prepared for ceramics.
Complete re-screwing of the floor and application of a self-leveling compound to correct imperfections.
Installation of the new bathtub and wall finishing
Installation of a new bathtub , new faucets and installation of all necessary components.
Application of subway-style wall tiles in the bath area for a modern and timeless finish.
Clean and aligned finishes to ensure optimal sealing and durability.
Update of functional elements
Installation of a new vanity , along with a new sink .
Complete painting of the room to unify the whole and maximize brightness.
Final adjustments to provide a harmonious and professional result.
Project duration
The work took place over a little more than two weeks .
Final result
The space has been completely transformed into a brighter , more modern and perfectly functional bathroom.
The client said she was very satisfied with the final result, which fully meets her needs in terms of comfort and durability.
